Call for Applications - Harry Guggenheim Foundation
August 01, 2017
The Harry Guggenheim foundation is calling for applications for its Research Grants. The foundation is interested in questions concerning violence and aggressions in relation to social change, intergroup conflict, war, terrorism, crime and family relationships.
Applicants are welcome from any country and any of the natural and social sciences and the humanities who focus on the understanding of the causes, manifestations and control of violence and aggression in the modern world.
The awards fall within the range of 15,000 US-Dollar to 40,000 US-Dollar per year for a period of one or two years. Research grants are awarded to individuals (or a few principal investigators at most) for individual projects. While almost all recipients of the foundation’s research grants possess a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree, there are no formal degree requirements for the grant. However, it may not be used to support research undertaken as part of the requirements for a graduate degree. There also is no need for applicants to be affiliated with an institution of higher learning, although most of them are.
Application deadline is August 1st, 2017.
